Updates to pytorch utilities

Aborted image-autoencoder project for now; found untracked changes on thin6 and decided to merge them in before changing focus to IMU experiments.

Minor changes to torchutils.py, including functionality that allows CPU/GPU device to be selected during training & evaluation.
